Women of the Week ~ Janie Weisman
Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.
My Name: Janie Weisman
My Current Job/Company: Practice Lead, TENFOLD Brand & Culture Strategy
My Work: I help executives ignite their brand and culture – and in turn, I help companies achieve their purpose.
My Passion: My families – first at home, second at TENFOLD
My Family: Brad (my favorite – and perfect – partner in crime), Kallie (the coolest little girl on earth), Tucker (my delicious tiny guy)
My Hero or Heroes: My mom. No one has ever shown more grace, dignity, or tenacity in the face of adversity than she. Her strength astounds me, and it’s an honor when I am compared to her.
My Escape: Any vacation with my husband – particularly to the mountains out west, to NASCAR races, or to somewhere for an epic country concert.
My Pet Peeve: Lying, over promising and under delivering.
My Indulgence: Traveling
My Roots: I grew up in a very small town in a very tight-knit community. My roots were built on the foundation of Jewish heritage and values, never settling for less than the best, and expectations that my siblings and I should be everything we set out to be and more.
My Future: Will be spent in awe as I watch my kids grow into the amazing humans I know they are destined to be.
My Favorite Quote: “Be as you are” – Kenny Chesney
My Accessory: I wear the same jewelry every day, and 3 items mean the world to me. My engagement/wedding ring, the ring my paternal grandmother was given as her engagement ring, and the earrings my maternal grandmother gave to me before she passed.
My Advice to Young Women: Those who can think and speak on their feet rule the world. (Thanks Mom!)
How I Balance it All: I outsource. I have no vision of being able to do it all – so I do what I do best and outsource the rest. Whether that means asking for help from friends/family, investing in those who can teach me/guide me to be more efficient, or just plain calling in the experts to do it for me, I focus on my strengths and avoid the frustration and inefficiency of doing things that others can do better/faster!
