Woman of the Week – Shiloh Todorov
Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.
My Name:
Shiloh Todorov
My Current Job/Company:
Executive Director/German Village Society
My Work:
I have the pleasure of working with three professional staff and 400+ passionate volunteers to make all things German Village historic, vibrant and FUN.
My Passion:
I love neighborhoods with character – even before I took this job. I love conversations. I want to make things I touch a little bit better than the way I found them.
My Family:
Husband, Dimiter and Louis & Dimo our elderly dachshunds.
My Hero or Heroes:
I never really think in these terms. I’m trying to find the representation of hero in everyone I meet. Some make that easy. Others…
My Escape:
Dimiter and I love to motorcycle (yes, I ride my own) and scuba dive. But I also read voraciously – heck, I’ll read the back of the cereal box if there’s nothing else nearby.
My Pet Peeve:
Negative and/or entitled people.
My Indulgence:
I think I have a pretty good track record around making my life an indulgence – travel, food, drink, self-care. I’m looking for a little happy in every hour.
My Roots:
They’re in Nebraska with parents who I love and a sister who has been a best friend since her birth.
My Future:
I’m thinking a lot about it right now.
My Accessory:
Shoes. So. Many. Shoes.
My advice to Young Women:
Embrace the stages. You get taught skin and silly choices in your 20s, but wisdom and friendships just keep adding depth as those laugh lines set in.
How I Balance it All:
Do I balance it all? Hmmm. It helps to have teams of helpers and cheerleaders.
