Woman of the Week ~ Nancy Grabe
Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.
My Name: Nancy Grabe, MSW
My Current Job/Company: Founder and Therapist at Foundational Family
My Work: I coach Moms. I help calm the crazy that life with kids can cause. I believe that it is relationship with our kids and not tricks or power plays that make lasting impressions on our kids.
My Passion: Helping families live abundant lives.
My Family: Richard (Husband), Justin (Senior Engineer -Son-33), Jeffrey (Vice Principal of School for kids with LDs -Son-30)
My Escape: Walk in the woods or in the mountains. Revives my soul to see the beauty and be in the peace and quiet!
Pet Peeve: Adults that say, “That kid is old enough to know better!” Who taught them to know better??
My Indulgence: Wine and Dark Chocolate!
My Roots: Family! Playing games, time at the Lake, and talking to each other. My parents were amazing, my siblings are my support and my sons and hubby are my reason for living and breathing!
My Future: Life really does start at 60! So much to still learn and do!
My Favorite Quote: “Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care!” Theodore Roosevelt
My Accessory: Empathy and a good sense of humor.
My Advice to Young Women: Be humble, be curious and ask lots of questions.
How I Balance it All: I like to remind myself, not all good things are for me to do. I also practice Sabbath and self-care. If I am not in good shape I can not take care of anyone else.
