Woman of the Week ~ Abigail Young
Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.
My Name: Abigail Young
My Current Job/Company: Director of Author Experience/Igniting Souls, Freelance Editor/Stressless Edits
My Work: I work with authors as a coach and editor to help them create beautiful stories that matter. I love helping writers publish with excellence.
My Passion: My faith in Jesus Christ, traveling Europe, working with words.
My Family: The best husband ever—Cameron (married three awesome years and counting!)
My Hero or Heroes: The humble ones—those who forget themselves to the point that they’re effortlessly confident and endlessly loving.
My Escape: A fiction book (preferably one with a rich world and fast-paced action).
My Pet Peeve: Grammatical errors and the absence of serial commas.
My Indulgence: Belgian cocoa-dusted truffles.
My Roots: Small town, homeschool community, close ties to church and family.
My Future: Growing a business, traveling the world, building deep relationships with those around me.
My Favorite Quote: One of my favorites: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” —Helen Keller
My Accessory: I keep it simple—my wedding ring is often the only accessory.
My Advice to Young Women: There’s rarely one right answer. Instead of marinating in analysis paralysis, do the next right thing.
How I Balance it All: There’s no such thing as perfect balance, but I know what’s important to me and try to keep the main thing the main thing. It’s less about balancing every day and more about the big picture.
